of medical expenses
The provincial health insurance plan of the Régie
de l’assurance maladie du Québec does not
presently cover the cost of lymphedema treatment or
compression garments, bandaging supplies, etc. The options
for full or partial reimbursement of such expenses include
private health insurance plans,
the federal and provincial
income tax credit for medical expenses

: Effective February 5, 2008
The
Canadian Cancer Society offers a financial aid program
to LOW INCOME patients with cancer living with lymphedema:
1. Purchase of compression garments (4 pairs a year)
2. Lymphedema treatment (up to $500).
To
apply you must fill out a financial
assistance form and send it to the Canadian Cancer
Society.
